I will only answer this for myself. I live, and love Minneapolis, but work in first ring suburb. I am trying hard to find more adequate housing than what I have right now, but in Minneapolis that is quite hard to do. The only people that are being catered to are people that can afford market rate lofts/condos starting in the 300,000 range, or persons below the 50% median income. What about those of us under median, but above 50%. I may have to move to the burbs to find affordable housing. The burbs are not really my kind of place to live. Maybe St Paul?
