akorf: Have there been any community meetings about it? and does the addition of a Cub Foods improve the quality of life to a neighborhood? or just traffic?
vanessa:
I can say, I have not had or heard any notices about Cub moving into North Minneapolis, However, just to inform you, Yes! it would greatly have a positive impact in the quality of life in this community. Allowing most people to shop for fresh, dated and decent foods at the right prices. The two stores we do have is situated located in prime areas, but the cost are very high. Most people to not have transportation to carry them to either Rainbow or Cubs that is located further North. We have Steve's store on Lowery and Emerson, and it is reasonable, however, the food is out-dated. As far as traffic, we get plenty of it, remember, north Minneapolis is not isolated or considered rural.
