While I was never a fan of Brian Herron, entrenched as he was in the DFL
machine, he at least admitted his wrong doings without making any excuses
for himself and later apologized to the communities he harmed.  Even so,
he was strongly reproved by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, which doesn't
seem all that unreasonable until you consider the mild, almost defensive
tone the editorial page took after an unrepentant Joe Biernat was
convicted in court.  

More evidence of the racist nature of Minneapolis, especially in its
press.
