I would suggest that those who pose a question on this listserv to city or
elected officials, get an answer to the list, and still have more
questions or want more detail, that they pick up the telephone and request
the information directly.

What David diplomatically calls "nitpicking", I call invasive.  This is
not the first time that this has happened here.  In my view, after a
while, it turns into grandstanding and brinksmanship.  You have every
right to request and get such information, but it isn't necessary to use a
public forum unless you are trying to advance a political agenda.
