I hope that you are basing your belief on hard data and not solely on optimism. Perhaps you can share this year's data from the Minneapolis Public Schools with us on the Minneapolis List Server. Could you also explain why SLC were implemented system wide, rather than being evaluated in a study with control groups? It will now be very difficult to separate out the contribution of new standards, testing, and Bush's No Child Left Behind program from any benefits that might be attributed to the SLC program.
