Two things: 1. I do not pre-screen posts. So anyone who is subscribed can post whatever they want. I can only clean up messes afterward. In other words, I don't "allow" or disallow - I react. 2. I do most discipline off list, so members often aren't aware what I've done. List rules ask that complaints be delivered to me - offlist. If you want someone disciplined, please ask me (nicely would help) and anyone can email me offlist to ask if I've done anything. 3. The post in question is a distinct rarity - I cannot recall another "slang" post and would challenge members (off list) to provide me with info/insight about any sustained racism they see here. I believe we have an argumentative list - but if people believe its racially hostile, I'd like to consider their insights. Offlist for now. 4. Members do not have to reveal their race when posting, and it's a little hard to see them visually on an email list. So I don't think anyone really knows the racial mix of who posts here.
