In the last couple of years, I can think of a couple of projects - kiosks
and a charter school information provider - that have turned out to be
flakes and had locals running around trying to get our public money back.

It doesn't seem a bad idea for the area's councilperson to ask for some
contractor details. Now, if they reject that person arbitrarily and
capricously, that's a problem. But so far, there's no evidence of that.

Good for Don Samuels for watching out. And good for the public for watching
him (and all other councilmembers), too.
