All summer, I've noticed rehab going on at the brick commercial building adjacent to the west side of the former Butler Drug building at Lake and Chicago (so across Lake Street from Chicago Lake Liquors). Today, I noticed signage for a Footlocker shoe store going up - to be located on the ground floor. Windows were still not installed on the 2nd story.
Curious, I checked the address, 810 E Lake, at the Minneapolis property info website (http://apps.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/pi.app/address_selection/address.asp) and saw that the owner/taxpayer listed as: Taxpayer: Chicago-lake Llc, C/o Peter M Boosalis 7133 Washington Ave S Edina Mn 55439 Owner: Elsie Boosalis First, I am curious as to whether there are any public funds in this redevelopment. Secondly, do Mr. or Ms. Boosalis, or their family members, have an interest in any of the four redevelopment proposals being considered for the Sears complex? Do any or all of the Sears proposals consider keeping this early 20th century building or do the proposals call for it's removal? I'd like to know more. I'd be grateful if someone from the Lake St Council, the Chicago Lake Assn, Phillips neighborhood, the developer, Footlocker, or any public officials might provide details. Thanks, Shawne FitzGerald Powderhorn REMINDERS: 1. Think a member has violated the rules? Email the list manager at [EMAIL PROTECTED] before continuing it on the list. 2. Don't feed the troll!
