To have only 30 of 450 members show up to a general
member meeting is not good.

I agree Ms. Eubanks comments:

The branch needs a leadership style more inclusive
and representative of its members, said Evelyn
Eubanks, 46, of Minneapolis, a member who has been
in and out of the branch since 1998.

"Decisions are supposed to be made from the
bottom-up, not from the top-down," she said
last week. "The general membership is supposed to
guide the branch."

Again, a financial audit with public disclosure might
would help.

NAACP's Minneapolis branch at a crossroads again

So just why did the Rev. Al Gallmon resign as
president of the Minneapolis branch of the NAACP?

He threw in the towel at a meeting of the general
membership a week ago Saturday, after serving only
eight months.
