Government uses the power of FORCE to redistribute wealth. In Minneapolis, the only thing between your money and someone else's pocket is 7 council votes. This fact makes it too risky for me to stay, especially because Minneapolis perpetuates its one-party political steamroller by putting DFL activists on the payroll through the NRP and funding its 81 neighborhood mini-councils. I would love to see a Constitutional challenge brought against Minneapolis - for using public money to pay political operatives. The good news is that Minneapolis participates in a free market whether it likes it or not. Thanks to our brilliant founding fathers, we can leave. We don't have to tolerate oppressive or goofy government. No one HAS to pay property taxes unless he or she CHOOSES to stay. Suggested reading: Milton Friedman's "Free to Choose." Vicky Heller North Oaks for now, heading for a free state "No man is good enough to govern another man without that other's consent." (Abraham Lincoln) REMINDERS: 1.
