Doug Grow reveals his skewed perceptions regarding community leadership.

Once again the The Johannesburg Times' token liberal columnist instructs
us on the differences between a good knee-grow (City Council Member Don
Samuels) and a bad knee-grow (Reverend Randolph Staten). Aside from
being sooooo 60s (you know, like those rabble-rousing, obstreperous
negroes who called themselves the Black Panthers), Staten served
workhouse time for writing bad checks.

Excuse, me, but at least Staten served time for his crime. How many
whites, politicians and ordinary citizens alike, have written bad checks
and not been punsihed, let alone tried and convicted?

Evidently, Don Samuels thinks it's a bad thing that the black community
is "traditionally theocratic". Why shoudn't black communities in
Minneapolis and elsewhere be theocratic when our dominant legal,
political, cultural and economic institions reamain racist?
