If so, you better be prepared for a massive increase in the school taxes that you 'breeders' pay, since now more than half the money comes from taxpayers without any children in schools.
Also, could I opt out of the part of the Park Board budget that pays for tot lots, since I don't have any children to use them? And the golf courses & tennis courts, since I don't play those sports?
Also, as a non-smoker, can I opt out of the 25-35% of the Fire Dept budget that is spent on putting out fires started by cigarettes?
I seldom drive late at night, so I'd prefer not to pay for the electricity to keep street lights on after Midnight. Charge that to the people who drive late at night, not me.

Sometimes I think people really need to re-read the Founding doucments of our country, especially that phrase "for the public good". (sigh)

I agree with Dan McGuire up to a point that private schools should not discriminate with public money, but as a parent with children in private school I should have the option of having my money that I pay in school levies and property tax used for paying for private school. So I am paying twice, once for other kids to attend public school and once again for my kids attending private school. Many argue that sending my kids to private school is my option but having to pay for school referendums and levies is not my option. So I am for school vouchers, it is an option long overdue.
