[TB] I'm not so sure that the map "clearly violates" the requirement that a ward cannot be more than twice as long as it is wide. I looked at the lawsuit which says wards 3 and 7 are outside those limits and looked at the ward map. With appologies to a former President, it depends upon how you measure. Is the width the distance from the eastern most point to the western most point and the height the distance from the southern most to northern most point? If that is the definition, it appears that both 3 and 7 qualify. If you define high and wide in some other manner you could likely make a claim that most wards don't meet the requirement. I still think the primary reason for this suit is because Dean Zimmerman doesn't like being put in the same ward as another member of the current council. He would rather not run against another incumbent. Probably would be an easier election if he only faced non-incumbent challengers.
