A Search Firm from Illinois recommended the following 7 candidates to the Park Board as possible Superintendent's. There were 25 applicants with 15 considered to have the qualifications we were looking for. Then the Search Firm chose the 7 candidates to present to us using our criteria as previously outlined in our brochure and information about the job.

We now have a notebook full of documents on each candidate with resume's, written narratives and more and the process will continue and lots of studying to do as we proceed. If you know any of these people or have friends (especially in these other cities) who can comment on the quality and condition of their parks in that city or the competency of the person please let me know offline. All comments about all candidates will be greatly appreciated - but please post them offline out of personal respect for the individual candidate, if nothing else.

Interviews will occur on Monday and Tuesday, December 1st and 2nd (and Wednesday if necessary). Interviews will be approximately one + hours (we didn't set that one in stone yet). I am assuming they will be open to the public.

This is an "unofficial" announcement and does not preclude what the journalists will write and the official press release of tomorrow will say. However, Tracy asked and I felt it transparent as your citywide elected representative to answer.

Hope I don't get in trouble???? -even if it is public information.
Annie Young
