I missed Mr. Atherton's post original post in this thread, but I think I have the gist of it based upon subsequent messages.
I have to concur with Paul Rohlfing about the nature of the IB curriculum. I am myself a graduate of the Anwatin pre-IB program, and I continued on in the IB magnet at Southwest for two years, though I ended up transferring to Visitation in my junior year. (Mom got re-married and we moved to the 'burbs.) My IB experience was generally a good one, and it was, as Mr. Rohlfing stated, a fairly rigorous curriculum. I recall that during my high school days (I am in the class of '96) the IB program was often confused with the International Studies magnet at Washburn.
