Reasonalbe clarifications, both - the second question first:

>>And on what basis do you call evidence to support closing Kenny scant?

I was at the board meeting, and I've read the proposal a couple of
times. I've talked to some Kenny parents. We're not, our daughter goes to
Dowling. I didn't hear and haven't read any evidence to support the
financial wisdom of closing Kenny. There wasn't any specific evidence
presented for any of the recomendations. The approach seemed to be, we
don't have time for specific discussions, we've got to do all of these
things and we've got to do all of them in the next ten days because
enrollment is dropping and we haven't been successful at getting anymore
money from the state or federal sources.

>> What would those be?

Until we know exactly how much money is expected to be saved by
reassigning all of the students and staff and turning out the lights, a
discussion of the possible alternatives is premature. Do we need a Kool-aid
stand or a well researched reorganization and concerted fund drive? If you
assign those questions to a reporter who goes out to the Kenny parent groups
and staff meetings and comes back with an empty notebook, I'll toss out a
few ideas.

What would those be? And on what basis do you call evidence to support
closing Kenny scant?

Genuinely asking, not belittling.
