            Careful what you wish for here. I've extensive knowledge of the 
flat roofs of Minneapolis. I just got off one after several hours of snow 
removal and quick patching on five leaks (so far,I'll be back when I can see more). 
Flat roofs and Minnesota don't make a fine marriage.
The new membrane technology seems to be a step up but I certainly won't 
believe it until it proves itself over decades (somebody keep track of those things 
for me won't you?)
            I don't think solar panels on a flat roof are the  m.o. anyway, 
they have to face South and preferably, track.
