I care. I love sports and how sports add to a city's "culture". And it does
add culture that people value. My wife is an executive and works with most
people who were highly recruited to come to the Twin cities. One of the very
first things that comes up in conversations at cocktail parties and events
is how well the sports teams are doing. There's appreciation that this is a
great sports market and that adds to the fabric of quality of life in this
metropolitan area.

And sports are good for our kids too. I've coached baseball and basketball
for many years now. These kids also follow the sports. And with that they
learn the lessons of life, like winning and loosing, and seeing their heroes
rise and fall. It was a real disappointment for my son when he saw his hero
Kirby Puckett fall. It was also a lesson. Heroes are human too, with their
faults and mistakes.

Thanks for bringing up the topic Mark. The Minneapolis and Minnesota teams,
pro, college, or high school, when they win or loose, add to the quality of
life of this city.
