For those who may have missed it, Ross Taylor said on Jan. 13 he wasn't
seeking another term on the school board. There was a brief mention in
the paper the next day.

For reader of Minneapolis neighborhood news in the Star Tribune, here's
an update. Someone was selected for, but never named to, my old
neighborhood beat. She left for a reporting position in Atlanta, for
personal reasons. Most recently, we hired a new reporter named Chao
Xiong, who sits in my old desk. The job description under which he was
hired doesn't mention Minneapolis, and it appears that about half of his
shift will be spent chasing breaking news across the metro area. On the
other hand, two of his first three stories were set iun Minnepaolis
neighborhoods. You can try him at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you have
tips, news, etc.
