According to the post below, Peter Bell (of bus/public transit destroying
fame) has not been officially confirmed by the Senate.
So we don't have to wait to act to get rid of him.
We can get rid of him now, if we can get the Senate to respond.
The more we do now, the less we will have to do later.
Stop it before it multiplies.

Subject: [M5DGP] ACTION NEEDED! CALL YOUR STATE SENATOR !!!
For those unaware, Met Council Chairperson, Peter Bell, HAS NOT been
officially confirmed by the Senate.
Considering that his first order of business was to serve us up a transit
strike, I believe that the leaders in the Senate ought to oust him from
that position by refusing to confirm him and calling for a vote of "no
confidence" in his abilities.
If you read the Doug Grow columns regarding the Metro transit situation,
you know that Peter Bell has no Labor/Management negotiating experience,
yet he insisted on micro managing the talks resulting in a hard line stand
against the workers. Governor Pawlenty orchestrated this and Peter Bell
carried out the marching orders.
Now we have DFL Senators quoted in the paper telling Peter Bell to go back
to the table. Meanwhile, back at the capitol, his confirmation sits on
the Senate floor with a recommendation from the appropriate committe that
he be confirmed! Call your senator TODAY! Tell them to call for a vote
of "NO CONFIDENCE" in Peter Bell. Tell them to oust his be refusing to
confirm him!
If you live in SD 58, YOUR SENATOR, Linda Higgins, is the CHAIR of the
committee who recommended appointment of this Evil Acolyte of the RIGHT.
Call her TODAY!
Senator Linda Higgins:
