The Republican party reportedly endorsed David Dayhoff, a Tangletown
resident, who spoke in favor of the school closing recommendations at the Feb 10, 2004
board meeting (according to the minutes of the board meeting). A recent
article in the SW Journal mentioned Dayhoff as a school board candidate, but did
not say that he was seeking the Republican Party endorsement.

A list member introduced me to a wannabe Republican party candidate for
school board at the community meeting at North High (re: the school closing plan).
I don't recall the name. It was probably Mr. Dayhoff.

-Doug Mann, King Field
Minneapolis School Board candidate
