Below is a copy of the press release put out by the
Dayhoff campaign after endorsement by the Minneapolis

FOR IMMEDIATE RELAEASE

David Dayhoff Announces Candidacy for Minneapolis
Schools

(Minneapolis, MN) - David Dayhoff formally announced
his candidacy yesterday for election to the
Minneapolis School Board. He noted the current boards
failure to adequately address the challenges of
Minneapolis schools:

I believe the Minneapolis Public Schools are at a
critical turning point, at which we can either
reinvigorate the system or watch it continue to spiral
downward. Sadly the systems problems are nothing new.
On its watch, the current Board has fumbled repeatedly
in handling their most important responsibilities, and
has demonstrated a frustrating lack of urgency towards
making fundamental changes. It is long past time for a
fresh face with fresh ideas.

Dayhoff, a resident of the Tangletown neighborhood, is
licensed to teach high school Spanish. He has a
bachelor's degree in Spanish and Portuguese from
Princeton University, and a master's degree in
international affairs from the Johns Hopkins
University School of Advanced International Studies.
He works in a corporate marketing position at a major
Twin Cities-based corporation. David can be contacted
