I'm sure he did. However, as I noted earlier, supporting hydropower does not
equate to supporting Crown Hydro, since there is at least one other
opportunity to increase our electricity generation from hydropower that does
not require approval of the Crown Hydro project.

I thought I did a good job of pointing this out in my earlier post, but I
guess not.

I also asked specifically why should Crown Hydro be supported over the other
option of simply increasing flow to the existing Xcel hydropower facility.

As far as I could tell, the only reason Jeff gave was:

"This is our opportunity to have running water in the water races at Mill
Ruins park. I prefer flowing water, not geese turd, trash filled back
water."

Now, maybe Jeff is OK with spending $10 million to not have to look at geese
turd while visiting Mill Ruins, but I think I need something more than that.

I spent a couple hours on Saturday morning tromping through geese turd while
picking up garbage along the river banks for MCNC's 11th Annual River
Cleanup event and somehow, I lived through it.
