I believe one plan is to put displays at some bus
stops giving bus ETA times.

Probably a $$$ issue.

That would be cool, but first can we have signs on all the bus stops that say which buses stop there? Which direction they're going would just be gravy. It's a good thing the drivers are so nice, because unless you already know exactly where to get on your bus you have to either walk to an enclosed bus stop or flag down the wrong bus to ask where you get on the right one.

And while I'm complaining, why are the walk/don't walk lights at the Hwy 55/Lake intersection so messed up? There are I think 3 islands with walk/don't walk lights, but instead of each section being independent (for instance; when the "turn left" light is red, the section of street the cars can't turn into should have a walk light) it waits until *all* the sections are safe to turn to walk. And then the light is so short I can barely make it across before it turns back to don't walk - it's actually safer to ignore the walk/don't walk lights and just watch the traffic lights. Assuming no poor confused motorist watches the wrong light and goes when they're supposed to stop. I really don't understand why motorists getting to turn right on red lights is a higher priority than people walking across safely - it's the same at most of the 55 intersections, and also at the corner of Cedar & Franklin. I know it's MNDOT, but don't city planners or the neighborhoods get any say?
