Amen to that. I am most definitely in favor of less rights on red. I live
in Seven Corners, right by the intersection of Cedar/Washington/15th Ave.
Rights on red are allowed at this intersection, even though there are
almost always pedestrians crossing. Furthermore, since the area is the site
of 5 bars, one cannot always assume that all pedestrians or all drivers
will be completely alert. It is about time for the government and citizens
of Minneapolis to change their priorities--the sole point of our city is
not to move cars as guickly as possible.
