I did the Light Rail thing today with 9 kids and a few adults. We waited for awhile to catch the train downtown but it was fun. No one complained about the wait today. Everyone seemed pretty excited about the whole thing.
The train ride was really cool. Smooth and very quiet. Of special interest to me was how all the neighborhood associations along the rail corridor stepped up to the plate and organized around this. They all had booths and were handing out information or helping to stamp passports. Once again the neighborhood volunteers prove just how important they are and how much they contribute to the vibrancy of our city. It certainly is a beautiful day for the celebration. It's not too late. Get out there and ride that train. Barb Lickness Whittier ===== "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
