must be that the meter maid that gave me a ticket for not having my newest stickers
actually on my plates a few years back when I parked on a city street downtown must
not be working Dyna's hood, or maybe she got let go in the cutbacks

At the corner of 3rd Street North and 25th Avenue a mid 90s MOPAR mid
sized sedan has been parked for going on two weeks now. It's residents
arise about noon, relieve themselves in the neighbors yards, and then
walk up the block for another long days work in the drug and
prostitution market at 4th Street and 25th and beyond 'til the wee
hours of the morning, occasionally returning to smoke some funny stuff
they have a hard time keeping lit. They crash out across the seats
again after the bar rush is over around 3 am or later. The plates on
this car/flophouse are CVE628, and the tabs expired May 2004.
Now, I know our MPD traffic squads are busy helping enforce the car
pool lane restrictions on Interstate 394 and keeping the speeds down on
our 6 lane bridges over the big river, but how is it possible for a car
and it's inhabitants to remain on our streets and in "business" for
nearly 2 months after the grace period on it's registration expired?
Again, I know MPD is busy, and it's real nice to see the Mobile Command
Unit parked on 26th Avenue in Jordan along with a few squads. That may
explain why Jordan has gone a week without a murder and the gangbangers
are down here in Hawthorne. In fact, next to the MPD's RV in Jordan
looked like a nice safe place to set up my tent for a while, but I
didn't want to trample the flowers in the community garden so I'll camp
elsewhere if things don't quiet down here in Hawthorne.
In the meantime, I suggest we set up a betting pool on when this
mobile disorderly house is finally hauled off to the impound lot- for
charity, of course. My money's on the 3rd snow emergency next winter...
