Just want to say that this is a wonderful example of the kinds of enhancements to the public realm that our tax dollars can buy .... I'd also like to see more neighborhood kiosks for placing fliers - also something often seen on college campuses.

Posting neighborhood maps on signal boxes possibly could provide a useful service to those unfamiliar with an area. If these maps indicated the location of businesses, churches, and other such things, I would use them.

This is a project that individuals, block clubs, and neighborhood groups could undertake to fund, implement and maintain themselves. There is no need expend tax dollars on this or neighborhood kiosks. Where the City may need to become involved is removing the restrictions preventing private individuals and entities from undertaking this task.

Provided that the cost is reasonable, I would donate money and volunteer time to post neighborhood maps and erect kiosks in areas that I frequent, such as Lyn-Lake or Uptown.
