Which is one of the reasons why the Republicans in the legislature wanted to force the cities to face fiscal reality. However, I'm not sure that I agree that there is plenty of money in the budget to cover basic services, one of which is OUR debt. I side with the Tribune in believing that the city's governmental structure is a mess. I think that we need a Parks Department not a Parks Board. I think that restructuring the city's bureaucracy would be a wise thing to do and that we need a strong mayoral system. Just my opinion. Michael Atherton Prospect Park REMINDERS: 1.
