Introduced by Sen. Don Betzold and Sen. Lawrence J. Pogemiller on February
10, 2005, to allow economic development authorities with tax increment
financing authority to designate "Urban Renewal Areas" after city and county
approval. Normal tax-increment finance district rules would apply except
that the five year duration would be extended to 10, the limitation on
spending revenue outside of the district would not apply, and the local tax
rate certification would not apply.

Senate Bill 857 (Local Government Salary Cap Increases):
Introduced by Sen. David Gaither, Sen. Steve Kelley, Sen. Sandra L. Pappas,
Sen. Linda Scheid and Sen. Betsy L Wergin on February 10, 2005, to allow
local governments to pay employees up to 125 percent of the salary of the
Governor (currently they are capped at 95 percent of the salary of the
Governor).

House Bill 890 (Limited Market Value Property Tax Provisions):
Introduced by Rep. Mike Charron, Rep. Matt Dean, Rep. Michael Paymar and
Rep. Ray Vandeveer on February 10, 2005, to extend (and make permanent) the
limited market value provisions to all types of property and provide a
separate limitation to property that is sold or transferred to a spouse or a
surviving joint tenant.
