Since most Wards are holding all of their precinct caucus meetings in the same building, wouldn't it have made more sense to have precinct caucuses in the morning and then the delegates could have just stayed around for a ward convention. Remember, the more meetings you have the least likely it is that newcomers, non-insiders, and non-party hacks will want to participate.

Many of us in the DFL believe that delegates should have more than a day to ponder the potential candidates. That is why we required there to be some time between the caucuses and conventions. This way, delegates can learn more about the candidates in personal forums hosted by candidates, potential debates hosted within each ward, etc. I think it is reasonable to give people more than a day to contemplate their decisions.
