I am really surprised that Lisa McDonald did not get an acceptable rating from
Stonewall with her long history of activism and support to the GLBT community.
It seems like a pretty big slap to me. I would be interested in hearing from
people active in Stonewall what she did that would cause Stonewall to withhold
an acceptable rating from her. In all of her council races she always sought
out and was given Stonewall and DFL party endorsement. When she ran for mayor
there was no DFL endorsed candidate so she can't be accused of running against
an endorsed candidate. I haven't talked to Lisa recently so I don't know if
she is running DFL or not in this election. I thought perhaps she didn't seek
out endorsement from Stonewall but I hear that she did screen.

I am not surprised that Jim Bernstein was found acceptable but I am surprised
that he for Stonewall DFL endorsement. Jim is a former republican and was
active in the Independence Party and a part of the Ventura administration when
Jesse was the governor. Did Jim become a democrat now? Is he seeking DFL party
endorsement?
