Legitimate question regarding wireless internet: Isn't technology changing rather rapidly? I thought it was. Why are we investing public money in an area that is going to be obsolete in X number of years? If the internet has gone from dial-up to DSL to cable to wireless.... doesn't it stand to reason that wireless will someday be replaced by something else? Then we're left with a bunch of useless white boxes stuck on utility poles.
I will freely admit that I am not a tech-head. And I also know that MPLS, in it's infinite touchy-feelyness, wants everybody to be internet connected for $16 a month or whatever so we can all be part of the global village. But don't we have better things to spend our money on?
