There was a post stating that one could not compare monies for schools and the
stadium...the separability due to levies/referendum for schools and taxes for
the stadium.
True, the pie slice is separate...but the whole pie is in one pan and that pan
is the taxpayer. If John and Suzie Taxpayer have a dollar in their pocket and
they are asked to give a quarter for their local school to educate their
children...they can vote to give that quarter away or they can just give the
quarter to the school, knowing that it will be benefical in some learning
capacity and they have still have a slice of the pie. The other slice of pie
happens to be the stadium where John and Suzie are TOLD that they need to give
up their quarter to pay for another man's appetite for sweets with perhaps a
penny or two going to some youth sports and library hours... if the pennies are
left over. John and Suzie just lost a quarter and a slice of pie. Oh my!!

Well, I would highly suggest a few bake sales for all those Twin fans. 22,000
per game... each buy a pie for $10.00 would equal $220,000 for one sale times
how many games??....better start now before they close the dome to 3 days a
week, lay off staff, have the players purchase their own tissues....you know...
the real world scenario.
