The Strib's coverage of Minneapolis is a Minneapolis issue valid for this
list. The Strib's coverage of the Schiavo case (and other further flung
issues) is not.

The U.S. Constitution bars government from restricting speech. But this is a
voluntary organization of individuals, not government. The rules are here to
make Minneapolis issues prime. This thread was not.

This interpretation has been consistent for the seven years the list has
existed. Not everyone likes it. Not everyone has to. But I'm obliged to
enforce the purpose of the list.

By the way, rulings may be appealed OFF LIST to our board. See
