I"m always happy to talk about books! My current recommendation is "Blue
Blood" by Edward Conlon. Conlon is a Harvard educated New York cop, a great
storyteller who provides an insider's perspective on working for a big city
police force. It's a good read and politically relevant, too.

I wasn't able to attend the Library Board debate last night. Who won?
I have listened to many speeches by Library Board candidates and been
following their campaigns.
Come to think of it, I have never seen a Library Board candidate with a
book...Hmmm
And as far as I can remember, which may not be that far, Sheldon Mains is
the only candidate who has talked about reading a book.
I have also offered a Library fundraising plan for any candidate to adopt
and promote.
It's called:
Your Support is Overdue
and is based a combination of procrastination and good will. By forgetting
to renew my books and CD's on time, I have become a regular contributor to
the
general fund. I recommend it to all.
Thanks,
Scott Vreeland Seward
and if you are looking for that Tony Bennet unplugged, I just renewed it.
Thanks to all the legislators who helped restore LGA funds for the city,
parks and libraries.
