i don't see why being a parent of a student means you would favor the school in this case. I think the conflict of interest is brought up here more because there is fear delasalle will get what they want and this is a way to reduce the change the park board will grant them the wish or these commissioners support the stadium which foes can't figure out why they would so it must be because they are parents of students. If you start demanding elected officials to not partake in situations such as this one, will you require school board members to not have kids in the public schools they represent? make legislators who have kids in minnesota public schools not vote on issues relating to public education? how about if they have relatives that have kids in schools? friends? where would it stop?
