No, it doesn't irk me that others leave the original message attached. It
irks me when writers delete the original message.  I receive lots more
messages every day than I can conceivably read and deal with.  If the
original message is not left attached, then I need to go hunting for the
original so that I know what is being talked about. That is a very time
consuming task.  If the original is attached and I have already read it, I
just don't re-read it--that is not a problem.

forum get rather long, especially when the poster is copying two or three
previous messages to their "pearls of wisdom."

Some of the folks who regularly post unexpurgated messages here need a
regular reminder that others of us don't need to read the same message two
or three times.
