In all honesty, regardless of who the seated superintendent was, I would want these allegations investigated, and I would also want knowledge of the investigation to be made public.

I cannot imagine a set of circumstances where, if these allegations were brought, I would be agreeable to dismissing them without an investigation. The possibility certainly exists that they are in fact a form of premeditated harrassment against the current superintendent. Unfortunately, when you are in a position of public scrutiny, that sometimes happens.

It is my hope that the outcome of the investigation will be that the charges have no basis of fact and that Superintendent Peebles goes on to have a very successfull tenure as Superintendent. However, there is too much riding on the position in which she currently serves, with regards to the educaton of our children, to NOT investigate the allegations.
