Minneapolis Citizens for
Park Board Reform
Minneapolis, Minn. - Minneapolis Citizens for Park Board Reform are proud to
announce their Park Board commissioner endorsements for the 2005 election to
be held November 8.
. . .
We endorse candidates who support transparency, fiscal accountability,
environmental stewardship, and who will fight for the preservation of our
historic park system.
This group appears to be unique in that they did not actually screen the candidates before giving their endorsements. As far as I know, all the other Minneapolis groups sat down and talked with candidates before deciding who to endorse.

But perhaps they already knew who they wanted to endorse beforehand, and didn't want to be distracted by actually hearing the candidates explain their positions.

While I agree with several of the Park Board Reform's positions, I wonder about the wisdom of endorsing candidates without actually screening them.
