The writer is correct, the people in Minneapolis should be expecting an apology from RT Rybak for his action to assist the Sabri crime organization after it was common knowledge that organization was not only bribing public officials to overcome "Neighborhood opposition", but was actually attempting to take over neighborhoods to facilitate its criminal activity. Mayor Rybak must have been motivated by some misinformation to take such a uncommon action by him; after all it was the ONLY veto in his political career. Even if a mistake, his veto showed a complete lack of the judgment that Minneapolis should expect from its Mayor. For RT supporters to deny this happened, and the implications of it, as the writer may have in the past, simply compounds RT's problems over it. Such denials allow for even more discussion of an issue that does not put RT in a favorable light. All Rybak had to do, and still can do, was admit it was a mistake caused by poor information from his staff and assure the voting public that this inattention will not happen again. Heck, people have forgiven and forgotten that a couple of other City Council people in the past have told media reporters that they were friends and supporters of Sabri. If the "writer" was apologizing for himself, please know that it is not necessary. We all make mistakes. For those interested in reading the entire Federal affidavit for the Zimmermann case, there is a link to it at WCCO.com. Please read the actual photocopy of the document for your selves. I am amazed that the "List Manager" has not already posted the link, as he usually is so very diligent in posting even obscure links to Minneapolis "Issues". Perhaps he was not aware of the existence of that "link" and will now post it? Rather than just speculation, "Issues" members should read the document themselves. It follows the entire process in great detail. But read it only after getting out and enjoying this glorious weekend. I just came from a walk down to the Franklin Bakery with my 9 month old granddaughter. They have such wonderful coffee, and as anyone knows quite simply the BEST baked goods in Minnesota. It is such a pleasure to stroll there each morning, and such a pleasure to see such friendly people. Both the workers and the customers. I am not sure if it is because the bakery attracts such people, or because the bakery is so wonderful that it makes everyone so friendly. We all enjoyed sitting on the backyard grass, sipping coffee and eating almond croissants. Well except for the coffee. Tallie had to settle for the grass, the flowers, and morsels of the croissants.
