happened to a list member) when Jackie Cherryhomes didn't like what we had

Eric Mitchell says: After all the things that were/are constantly said
about Jackie on this list, the only time she stepped in was to set that
person straight that you are speaking of is when he brought her husband
into this and accused him of representing massage parlors and
strip joints and possibly owning stake in them. As you put it, it not only
brought a 'disgusting
personal tone' but, it was a complete lie. So I'm sure you can
understand, afterall four years later you find that almost exact thing
nasty and disgusting. Eric Mitchell StPaul(5th Ward last go round)
My thoughts are this:
1) Don Samuels did not pull Travis Lee in to this, Travis inserted
himself into the nastiness that spews from Natalie's campaign several
months ago when he began to use his porn magazine to campaign for Natalie
and campaign against Don, tactics which include a re-occuring column
written by a fake named person that is full of mis-truths as well as a
political cartoon with race-baiting captions.
I've seen a copy of the Trendsetter - and the publication does seem over
the top. So is the Watch Dog which is put out by the Property Rights
group. I think it's unfair to call the Trendsetter pornographic.
2) I find it extremely ironic that 4 years ago, Natalie's campaing was
accusing Cherryholmes' husband of being involved in the sex industry, or
whatever... cause currently, a downtown strip club named Augie's is both
an advertiser in Natalie's husband's porn magazine AS WELL AS a financial
contributor to Natalie's campaign
I live in the 5th ward, and I've been listening to both campaigns - and I
don't hear serious discussion of the issues facing the 5th ward. Rather I
hear about how Travis Lee puts out a porn magazine and how Don Samuels is a
house negro.
There were lots of good reasons to defeat Jackie Cherryhomes 4 years
ago. Jackie was part of the borrow and spend crew that ended up
downgrading the Minneapolis bond rating. That being said, the campaign
against Jackie Cherryhomes was often ugly and personal. The term
"Cherryho" was used to refer to Cherryhomes.
Tamir is correct in his concern about Don Samuels - if he's correct that
Samuels doesn't return calls from rank and file constituents. Tamir stated
that Joe Biernat was responsive to constituents. That's not what I've
heard about Joe Biernat. Friends of mine who were represented by Joe
Biernat were not happy with Biernat.
