I would want a more detailed plan before we start investing heavily in this technology. Seems the adaptation skills of the criminal element are high. If they know the equipment is stationary (in North Minneapolis or South/Central) they will move out of range or worse yet move the gun battles indoors ( malls, arenas, theaters, apartment buildings). If it can be mobile ( which would entice maybe the region or state to participate) or citywide it would make more sense to start fundraising. I am not suggesting it would be bad, far from that and think the overall plan is admirable but doing things piecemeal never seems to have the desired outcome.
