Though probably not impossible (i shall try), i don't think it's the kind of
thing to do with SQL : the amount of 'balance' in each row is depending on
the order of the other rows (and you are never 100% sure of the order Access
will use to treat your records)
Why not making this with an export towards Excel ?

Good day 

i was wondering if anyone can help me create a Select sql statement
where a running balance is computed on the end of each transaction 
in a transaction list much like the running sum on a access report
but done only in query. Example below

Date    No.     Credit  Debit   Balance
======  ======  ======  ======  ======
1/1/06  12      100.00  0.00    100.00
1/3/06  15      200.00  0.00    300.00
1/9/06  18      0.00    100.00  200.00
1/15/06 34      500.00  0.00    700.00

Im not sure how to make a sql statement that will compute for the 
balance on each row.  Help pls...
