Dear Brett, Thanks for the pointer but I have thought of that but can't actually get that far....
As I understand it, the front end must be open to change the path when using the linked table manager and that I can't do that because the FE won't open...because the path is wrong, or so says the message.... Is there a way in which I can change the patch without opening the file? Many thanks for your time already; sorry to be a pain.
