Hello Ilona, I'm assuming that you have a form open all the time otherwise you can't expect your users to use the close button that's on it.
So, if you don't want to go to the trouble of building a custom menu bar (which I recommend doing and there is a good demo in the Files section called CommandBars or something and includes menu bars) then if you move your code from the button to the OnClose or OnUnload event of the form it should work. The idea being that for the database to close, the form has to close so the code will fire. Hope that helps.
