Then you may have to massage the text file first. Is it in any type of logical
order? Are there a number of columns? Are there any spaces between columns? Can
you tell us more about the structure of the data in the text (pdf) file?

Thank you for your help. I have tried to do this but my problem is
that the
text file is a converted file from a pdf report. The only delimiters are
carriage returns for each line and I don't see carriage returns considered
delimiters, are they? Once again thank you

Subject: Re: [ms_access] import data from a .txt file into Access 2002
In the database window choose FILE drop menu.
Then Get External Data
Then choose Import
Then a file chooser window will pop open. At the bottom where it says file
type, choose Text Files.
Find your file and select it.
Then a simple wizard will start to help you with the rest.
