Hi Muhamed Assuming that in all the field records the numbers come after a colon (:) then you can enter the following expression in a query field and then sort the records according to this field.
Val(Mid([Session],InStr([Session],":")+1,4)) I've used 4 assuming that the there can be up to 4 digits after the collon. Session is a field name (use your field name). Hope this helps Liveson ----- Original Message ----- From: Muhamed Faisal To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, 31 October, 2007 07:24 Subject: Re: [ms_access] sorting order dear tumbulu , in my query i have text string line no (for eg line no:1,line no:2,....line no:10) and carsponding data like qty produced and damaged etc. and if i sort the result in ascending or descendig order in line no the result is that line no:10 is near to line no:1 this is my problem, i want to display line no:10 after line no:9 any tips pls faisal riyadh L Tumbulu <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: Muhamed You need to explain how your data is arranged and how you want it to be sorted and we may be able to help you achieve that if it is possible.
