The documentation of the MSP-EXP430F5438 board only mentions JTAG. The F5438A itself supports JTAG & Spy-by-wire. Anyway, it looks working. I intend to create Mac fink packages for the mspgcc(4) and mspdebug when I get a bit used to them.
