And this is still going to be the servicing baseline for May security patches?
Is anyone else worried about this? Granted, most enterprises haven't adopted
8.1 yet, so it won't affect most people. I've got almost 100 tablets out there
already running it.

What would the uproar be if they did this to Windows 7? I would have 10K
machines I would need to apply what is basically a service pack to, and have
less than 30 days to do it to continue to be patched the next month. That's not
even counting the issues they are having where it had to be pulled from the
WSUS catalogs.

Am I over reacting here?

As a side note, I have no idea what will happen when they do release it to WSUS
after you've manually imported it. I suspect it's possible that there may be a
catalog conflict or it may show up twice. I guess, the point is that manually
importing it from Windows Update using the WSUS console is unsupported so the
actual results are undetermined and you may end up having issues. Not saying
you will, just that the results are undefined at this point.

You can manually install it into your WSUS server. That's what we did.

BTW, the 10 minute default time is NOT ENOUGH TIME to install that. SCCM will
KILL the install after it reaches that time. During testing, I found that on
my x64 VM, it took over 45 minutes to install. So we altered the 10 minute
timeline for the patch to 90 minutes.

It's not available via WSUS yet; see
http://blogs.technet.com/b/wsus/archive/2014/04/08/windows-8-1-update-prevents-interaction-with-wsus-3-2-over-ssl.aspx<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v1/url?u=http://blogs.technet.com/b/wsus/archive/2014/04/08/windows-8-1-update-prevents-interaction-with-wsus-3-2-over-ssl.aspx&k=%2Fn7jOOJsWjLEba9D7ffv%2Fw%3D%3D%0A&r=yhS5G3ZR%2BasVKTFCxfN%2F2jh%2BXS%2Bz%2FcqQCIb%2Fm2w1U80%3D%0A&m=PSVhd0aHNQEyKbOaW9BK%2FGPXmh0T4yeWDGR%2BJj69GeY%3D%0A&s=815b8f0143e065160793475505ef3e0d197c071dc827897d24a344191855f71f>.
  More to come on that.

You should see it via Windows Update eventually; the update is throttled so
that not all users will see it at the same time, with the throttling slowly
removed over time.

I was thinking the same thing, we may just have to be patient.

I don't see it either in WSUS or SCCM. If I point a 2012R2 server directly to
MU I don't see it either.

I thought I read somewhere that Microsoft was going to roll it out slowly
today, so perhaps we will need to check back later?

Subject: [mssms] can't see KB2919355 in All Software Updates

For some reason I can't see this update in the list. Before I start checking
off things on the list I thought I would ask if anyone knows which product I
need checked to see it. I can see Windows 8 updates etc... but I might be
missing something.

Thanks in advance for the help :)
